Direct Support Professional

We are seeking motivated individuals who are interested in working as Self-Directed Employee. As a SDE, you will have the opportunity to work with other experienced SDEs in a holistic home setting for a male adult with Autism. This position offers opportunities to grow professionally and gain additional experience under the Division of Developmental Disabilities.

Responsibilities:

- Provide supervision and guidance during schedule shift.

- Adhere to the daily structure of the home in regard to eating, activities and medication schedule.

- Assist with daily chores while teaching ADL skills to the individual.

- Medication distribution and documentation.

- Observation, redirection, and documentation.

- Attend and complete mandatory trainings.

Qualifications:

- At least 3 years working with adults with developmental disabilities.

- Minimum high school diploma or GED/preferably a college degree.

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

- Ability to work with others

- Self-motivated and nurturing.

- Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with staff and the individual needing care

- Great driving record.
