Zimmerman Associates, Inc. (ZAI) has an immediate need for a pharmacist to support our project in the Washington DC Metropolitan area. Work is currently conducted remotely. The successful candidate will work independently and in collaboration with other team members and government personnel.
The candidate will review drug and medical products' adverse event reports, evaluate the reported narrative, and provide guidance to ensure the report can be captured and processed into the government IT system. The pharmacist will annotate reports to identify key data elements (e.g., product types and names), prioritize reports based on the reported adverse event, and interpret unclear hand-written reports. The candidate will also help train other pharmacists and staff members and collaborate with other staff to document procedures and processes. The pharmacist will be required to keep current with new products on the market and emerging FDA and Industry regulations.
The candidate must have:
Pharm.D. degree
Current pharmacy registration and up-to-date license in any U.S. State
Strong current clinical/therapeutic knowledge
Knowledge and familiarity with a wide range of FDA-regulated products on the market
Effective communicate skills
Knowledge or experience of MedDRA Dictionary/Coding a plus
