Job Description
Reports to: Production Supervisor
Cooperates with: Welding, Fabrication, Shipping
Primary Responsibility: Performing MIG, TIG, or Flux Core welding, layout, tacking, fabrication, and building
functions in the manufacture of various products in accordance with
product specifications.
Shift:
2nd Shift: Monday – Thursday, 3:00 pm to 1:30 am with 30 min lunch
2nd Shift has $2.00 Shift Differential
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform MIG welding based on product needs, welding round and rectangular elements.
Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and other written instructions and diagrams to perform the necessary task.
Knowledge of QC and product specifications.
De-bur and grind metal as necessary to achieve proper surface texture.
Knowledge of welding safety procedures and willingness to use PPEs provided.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma.
Certification in welding from a recognized technical institute or trade school is highly desirable.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Ability to use welding equipment and related tools effectively and safely.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Experience in using electrical or manual tools (grinders, saws, squares, calipers etc.)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Welding certification a plus.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. individually and heavier items with a team lift.
