We are looking for a communications and storytelling expert to build deep awareness and understanding for who Vasion is and what we do. In this high-profile, hands-on role, the Senior Manager of PR and Comms will lead all aspects of public relations, analyst relations, and communications for the company. This includes close collaboration with our executive, content, product, and GTM teams—as well as managing our PR agency.

The new senior manager will be responsible for building external awareness for the company’s strategic vision, unique insights, innovative solutions as well as Vasion’s thought leadership.

The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of defining breakthrough communications strategies, delivering innovative brand campaigns and initiatives that generate meaningful awareness and results with measurable impact. The candidate must excel at collaborating with senior business, marketing, and product leaders.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute an integrated PR strategy and comprehensive comms program that will drive brand awareness to meet aggressive awareness goals.

Manage the day-to-day corporate communications for Vasion including internal and external communications, crisis management, and media and social media monitoring.

Develop critical category building functions, including the analyst relations program

Take a measurement and performance-oriented approach to building awareness, closely monitor and report on key metrics, including number of quality media and analyst placements and increased share of voice.

Serve as a top communications advisor to the Vasion leadership team including production of messaging and talking points, Q&As, briefings, employee engagement, communications to business partners, social and digital content, and other written materials, as needed.

Manage messaging around key announcements, launches, and media initiatives.

Proactively develop communication strategies and crisis management plans; establish a process to rapidly take action as needed.

Guide appropriate messaging, style, and context for communications deliverables that support the overall communications strategy, adhere to the brand standards, and reflect the needs of our various internal and external audiences.

Responsible for generating quality earned coverage that not only promotes Vasion but positions Vasion as a thought leader in key areas of focus for the company.

Work with a collaborative content team to build thought leadership profiles for key executives through interviews, bylined materials, events, and other activities. Establish operational objectives, quarterly plans, and agreed-upon metrics. Ensure internal and agency teams understand what success looks like. Make necessary adjustments when business needs change.

Manage an annual budget and oversee spend tied to PR agencies, award submissions, and other duties as outlined by leadership.

Requirements

7+ years of corporate communications or relevant experience, ideally with a mix of agency and in-house expertise.

Direct experience in leading the creation of the overall corporate communications strategy, mapping to key business priorities, and ensuring alignment across the corporate communications, product marketing/product management, and senior leadership teams.

Experience in building and managing analyst relations programs

Established track record in driving major media relations campaigns, managing programs that generate measurable results.

Experience in driving thought leadership campaigns that resonate with the press, including experience in category creation.

Experience in managing agencies, where agencies understand what success looks like.

Demonstrated record of communication excellence at all levels of the organization, including the company’s most senior executives.

Experience with crisis communications.

Exceptional writing skills and organizational skills

Performance and data-driven

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, journalism, communications, or equivalent
