Skills and Responsibilities:

• Monitor the batch streams and ensure that jobs are completed as per the SLAs defined.

• Monitor performance of critical batch flow periodically especially after Major release

• Identify and log incidents (delayed jobs, aborted jobs) impacting batch stream.

• Restart the job as per restart instructions available in SOP.

• Get the incidents resolved on a timely manner to complete the batch stream within the SLA.

• Coordinate with L2 / L3 support team, upstream / downstream teams to resolve the incident.

• Setup alert mechanism for job failures and long running jobs to reduce the manual monitoring effort.

• Introduce logical breakpoints for long running jobs enabling quicker recovery.

• Handle any special request for schedule changes during any change implementation or on any customer request.

• Establish a batch calendar including all business events and associated batch changes for proper planning.

• Automate the Job schedules for recurring events.

• Refer to the SOP for any manual scheduling of jobs.

• Update SOPs to reflect any changes in the schedule or in processing.
