Distribution Sales Representative
Ontario East
We’re seeking a Distribution Sales Representative to join our client, a top global leader in technology and innovation. The Distribution Sales Representative maintains partnerships with distributors, showrooms, branches, and contractors within the Ontario East territory. This position promotes products to branch staff and contractors, developing and delivering training events, as well as sharing feedback with head office on events, competition, inventory placement, etc.
This is a hybrid working model, requiring 3 days a week on the road meeting with customers within the territory, as well as flexibility to work from a home-based office on Mondays and Fridays.
Responsibilities:
Establish and nurture partnerships with dealers in assigned territory, both in-person and virtually
Maintain a consistent weekly outreach of 20-40 touchpoints, ensuring effective product display and appropriate inventory levels
Address issues promptly, recommending solutions and ensuring availability of promotional materials
Conduct product knowledge sessions for business partners, aligning with corporate objectives
Evaluate training effectiveness, make improvements, and provide detailed reports as needed
Manage in-store materials, ensuring displays are functional and impactful
Participate in sales events, product demos, and trade shows, assisting with various projects as required
Address inquiries from branches, contractors, and consumers, providing solutions or directing to appropriate team members
Requirements:
Completion of a 2-year certificate or diploma in Business Administration or Marketing, or equivalent
Experience in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical wholesale industries is preferred, but not required
Minimum of 2 years of sales experience
Proficiency in MS Office, CRM, and presentation software
Strong problem-solving abilities to tailor solutions from diverse options
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for relationship-building, influencing, and negotiating
