The Healthy Heart Africa program is one of PATH’s NCD projects in Ghana which focuses on improving on quality of care for patients with Hypertension and Chronic Kidney Disease with funding from AstraZeneca.

PATH seeks to recruit a Project Assistant, to work with the Healthy Heart Africa (HHA) Project team as it prepares for the new phase of programming integrating chronic kidney disease and Hypertension in Ashanti and Greater Accra regions.

Specific duties and responsibilities include the following:

Provide general logistic and administrative support for the HHA Project team.

Provide support for preparation of budgets for meetings, field trips, and other activities.

Maintain project stakeholder database and activity tracker.

Provide administrative support to the project leadership including development of monthly project reports for meetings and field activities, quarterly reports, and communication materials as needed.

Assist with drafting letters, other correspondences, travel arrangements for project staff, as needed.

Coordinate procurement and delivery of project commodities for office and field activities.

Travel to support field activities as required.

Support planning and organization of training workshops and other patient facing activities.

Participate in project meetings as required.

Other tasks as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in public or health administration, Public health, Population and Health, Applied sciences and/or other related fields.

2 Years' experience in project support in health sector.

Good knowledge and experience in the field of health development.

Knowledge of NCD health system strengthening will be an asset.

Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite

Proficient in written and spoken English.

Ability to use the internet to conduct project-related research.

Ability to organize tasks simultaneously and prioritize work.
