Location Requirement: This position is a hybrid role that will require onsite presence in the Des Moines, IA Corporate Offices

Essential Functions:

Collaborates closely with UI/UX and Customer Experience teams to create a better customer experience and ensures value driven outcomes are achieved through continuous innovation and experimentation

Work with key business and IT partners to break down high level business strategies, develop core positioning and messaging for the product, and deliver innovative solutions

Optimizes the value of work performed by the team and ensures stakeholders understand the overall product strategy and product roadmap by maintaining and ensuring the product roadmap and product backlog are visible to all those involved with the product

Creates and modifies the product vision, creates user stories and acceptance criteria, grooms the product backlog, plans releases and attends Scrum ceremonies

Makes decisions that determine the profitability of the product (ROI)

Provides input and guidance to the portfolio team on the current and future state of the product portfolio

Inspires and motivates the team to deliver innovative solutions with an appropriate sense of urgency

Maintains third party relationships and evaluates vendor solutions for integration into EMC capabilities

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience

Eight years of experience in the field of IT projects or business analysis or equivalent subject matter expertise in applicable business field, including at least four years of experience as a product owner or a related role

Experience in product and service based delivery environment

Certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM)

Advanced certification, such as A-CSPO preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Advanced understanding of the Scrum framework and Agile development techniques

Strong knowledge of additional frameworks preferred (Kanban, XP, etc)

Good knowledge of project management software, such as JIRA

Thorough business knowledge to lead development in coordination with all of the stakeholders

Good knowledge of scaling frameworks (LeSS, Scrum@Scale, etc)

Excellent ability to produce concrete product features and subsequent roadmap while collaborating to drive implementation

Knowledge of application and web development, database, infrastructure, client server/cloud architectures preferred

Advanced understanding of the importance of efficient story writing and acceptance test-driven development

Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Excellent leadership and organizational skills

Ability to develop and manage multiple products

Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
