Qualified purchasers must be competent in their responsibility for negotiating with suppliers and sellers of the assorted products for restaurant needs. They also need to coordinate the logistics of having them delivered and paid for.
Responsibilities:
Sourcing Japanese ingredients and suppliers based on price, availability, necessity, quality and logistical expenses.
Assessing vendors and their offerings with in-person visits to assess their product quality.
Negotiating sale agreements and supply contracts in ways that benefits restaurant.
Coordinating with suppliers/ sellers to ensure timely deliveries and oversee the integrity and quality of delivered goods and services.
Facilitating payments in coordination with the General Manager approval
Managing purchasing expenses with meticulous record-keeping
Directly reports to the Gen Manager
Hand over the purchased products to the Assistant Manager for inventory and rechecking.
Develop and maintain a database of suppliers, vendors, and contractors
Maintain appropriate filing systems for all documents, records, and reports
Key Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration Marketing, Management, Accounting or related field
Logistical qualifications
Analytical thinking ability
Negotiation and business relations skills
Accounting acumen
Precise verbal and written communication abilities
Strong industry experience for accurate product/service quality assessments
Good and harmonious ties with local suppliers and outsource suppliers / sellers.
Ability to find a quality products/ ingredient with lower price and can negotiate discounts.
