We are looking for a Assistant Manager willing to be assign at SM Uptown Cagayan De Oro City in a Japanese Restaurant.
Responsibilities:
Ensures high standard of sushi preparations and presentation.
Ensure the quality and freshness of all ingredients used in sushi preparation.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage and rotation of ingredients.
Collaborate with the Main Kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and timely service.
Regularly inspect and maintain sushi knives, tools, and equipment to ensure they are in proper working condition.
Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines during food preparation and handling.
Since they are directly in front of the customers at the sushi bar, it is important to have a communication skills specially if the customer ask questions and wanted to engage in short conversation for special requests. This a good way to build a rapport with them for a nice and good dining experience.
Key Skills:
Excellent in sushi preparation showmanship since it is an open sushi bar.
Excellent in sushi presentation and plating
Work experience as a Sushi Chef
Good knowledge of various sushi types and sushi-rolling techniques
Ability to work both fast and accurately
Certification from a culinary school is a plus
