As an Lead Application Engineer you will be responsible to lead projects and initiatives with broad scope and high impact for downstream & upstream Turbomachinery Solutions at the regional level. In this role, you will also be responsible for complex assignments with long-term business implications, manage complex issues within area of application engineering and contribute to the overall business strategy..

Responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities

In the role, you will lead the following activities:

Providing technical expertise to Sales and Commercial Operations in selecting, implementing, and developing results-oriented product applications and solutions

Being responsible for supporting leaders in delivering revenue commitments

Being able to estimate GE equipment and system performance, hardware, and price for budgetary estimates for new units and upgrades of Centrifugal Compressors

Participating in Risk Assessment processes, deal strategy reviews and cost out reviews during proposals preparation defining the best technical solutions

Being able to align sub vendors proposals according to customer’s Requisition and relevant applicable technical specs guarantying quality completeness and time responsiveness

Performing cycle and equipment comparisons to establish economically optimum / BH preferred cycle and configuration with involvement of and communication to the commercial teams and application engineers

Developing and maintain documentation of processes &information used within the evaluation, analysis and pricing group for the purposes of ensuring consistency, sharing of information among team members, and training resources

Providing performance data and hardware definition and work with Engineering and Sales to assure technical support of proposals.

Providing accurate and timely data, which may involve direct interaction with internal and external customers

Communicating openly with management about the status of projects to facilitate the evolution of business strategies and increase our hit rate on current and future projects

Managing daily priorities and work on assigned projects or processes.

Use effective problem-solving skills and documents to communicate results of generated technical data.

Establishing working relationships using clear and concise writing and speaking skills.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

Have bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution with Minimum of 8-10 years experience in an Engineering or Sales Support role specially in Centrifugal Compressor

Relevant 3 years in Application Engineering (Preferred

Have product knowledge with technical skills; Ability to provide technical direction

Have prior experience with customer specifications review, proposal development, and contract development and negotiations is preferred

Have Knowledge of International standards- API, ASME etc.

Show good negotiation and influencing skills

Be able to demonstrated oral and written communication skills

Be successful at building relationships and collaborating to resolve problems
