Assistant Vice President, Private Equity

Location: Mumbai

The position:

The main objective of the individual is to work closely with the Loan Operations group to support and deliver. The role requires strong Excel, communication skills. The successful candidate will be expected to work on various complex tools and coordinate with our global counterparts/Banks/Brokers to record activities and ensure accuracy

Roles & Responsibilities:

of private equity/ debt fund structures designs & hierarchies, Special purpose vehicles, standalone funds, master-feeder funds and the role of each entity in the fund structure

on the role of Investors’ classes, GP class, carry class, Affiliated / Non-affiliated classes.

investors commitments and knowledge on accounting of initial/subsequent/late closings.

capital activities i.e. subscription, redemption, transfers, switches. Preparing call and distribution notices, wire details and related schedules. Processing and understanding the role of Master-feeder capital transactions

for booking trading and non-trading transactions and finalizing books of accounts.

of monthly/quarterly NAV workbooks and economic allocations, knowledge on PNL rebalancing and European & American waterfall methods

of management fees in various periods, preferred returns and carried interest computations

of various ratios viz. Internal rate of return, Time weighted return, Investment multiple

Investor reporting, Fund level reporting and ILPA reporting (optional)

with clients on various accounting/operational issues

of Operations and accounting of Bank debts, TRS, MBS, CLO instruments

As People Manager:

to day supervision of direct reports in the team. Ensure that all operational and people management issues are dealt with in a timely manner.

You’re Profile:

Masters in Finance & Accounting or Chartered Accountant

experience in Financial Services / Capital Markets Industry with min 5+yrs work experience in Private Equity / Financial Reporting

in working across country lines and operating in a global, multinational organization, ideally in a matrix structure

accomplishments relating to organizational change activities in a fast-paced environment

to work in fast paced dynamic industry

attitude, team player, pro-active and ready to accept challenges

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
