Software Engineer-QA Automation Engineer

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Software QA Automation Engineer to join our growing team in Ahmedabad. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure the quality and functionality of our software applications. You will work closely with developers and other QA engineers to define testing strategies and implement a robust automation framework.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Python and a preferred framework (e.g., Behave)

Debug and fix automation script issues

Implement Test-Driven Development (TDD) or Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices

Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of the test automation framework

Collaborate with developers and other QA engineers to define testing strategies and identify areas for automation

Execute and analyze automated test scripts

Report and track test results

Manage test data effectively

Experience with API automation using tools like Rest Assured or Postman

Experience with Selenium and web application automation

Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment

Knowledge of deploying automation scripts into a CI/CD pipeline (e.g., Jenkins)

Knowledge of Git or Bitbucket for version control

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in software testing with a focus on automation

Strong experience in Python programming

Experience with TDD/BDD frameworks (preferably Behave)

Experience with API automation

Experience with Selenium and web application automation

Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment

Knowledge of Test Life Cycle Management (TLCM)

Experience with server-client models

Familiarity with Git/Bitbucket and Jenkins

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
