National Logistics Services (NLS) is looking for the right individual to join our busy Tech team. The individual will be responsible for driving our infrastructure & cloud strategy. This includes managing and maintaining our integrated network across our head office and 12 sites, as well as our data centre and cloud infrastructure components. This role will help lead our transition of our current infrastructure to the cloud.

Responsibilities

Manage cloud environment, currently on Microsoft Azure

Install, maintain and manage on premise VMware, Windows Server 2008-2019, Active Directory, Cisco Meraki AP, Avaya VoIP and other network gear

Manage Microsoft Office 365, Sharepoint and Teams portals

Manage and tune ipMonitor and Jira Service Desk

Manage WatchGuard Firewalls

Performance tuning of infrastructure & networks

Build and execute data backups and disaster recovery strategies

Conduct WiFi analysis and deployments

Lead critical outage resolutions, respond to tickets

Drive our strategy to move from on premise infrastructure to the cloud

Serve as secondary / backup support for our Information Security Lead

Work on any projects as assigned

Qualifications

BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering or related IT discipline

Relevant Technical Certifications- Azure, VMware, CCNA, MCSE, etc

5-7 years of experience as a system administrator / engineer in organizations of similar size (30 servers, 12 locations, 1500 users)

Experience in cloud transition and management, preferably Microsoft Azure

Critical outage management and troubleshooting skills

The desire to work in fast-paced environment

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Technical knowledge and experience with:

Microsoft Azure, Windows servers 2008-2019, Active directory, ipMonitor, Jira Service Desk, VMware, Veeam, Cisco Meraki, MS SQL server, Microsoft Office 365, Avaya VoIP, Nortel PBX, BM Power 8 iSeries, Manhattan WMi, ForcePoint Web and email filter, Symantec Enterprise Server, Duo 2 factor authentication
