Job Description

Full-time (in-office) position for an institutional investment consulting firm in either Savannah, GA or Newtown, PA.

Primary Responsibility

The primary responsibility of the Performance Associate is to prepare investment reports for an assigned list of clients. The Associate is expected to fulfill the direct responsibilities of the position as outlined below.

Direct Responsibilities

To gather data from various sources such as custody banks and investment companies, via direct communication and secure/web-based portals.

To file the data accordingly and make necessary inputs to reporting software.

To calculate and reconcile investment returns and transaction history.

To track and evaluate compliance certifications from investment companies. This process requires the Associate to read through investment manager written responses to specific client questions and write up a summary of findings. The Associate is responsible for ensuring that the companies managing client assets are compliant with investment guidelines.

To identify investment return differences and problem solve any discrepancies.

To generate reports based on the data and information collected. Customize written sections of client reporting based on various factors such as portfolio recommendations and compliance violations.

To coordinate with other departments of the firm to obtain any other materials required to include in a client’s final reporting package.

To provide recommendations and identify items of interest to the Investment Consultant based on the analysis of the compliance and performance report.

Other project-based work, as assigned.

Skills

The Candidate must be detail-oriented and possess the ability to multi-task. He/She will be expected to demonstrate good communication and organizational skills, and project a professional image through in-person, telephone, and email interactions with coworkers and business partners. The Candidate must possess a strong work ethic and work well in a team environment. Due to the nature of the industry, workflow will vary based on various factors such as client meetings/schedule, production cycle, and market fluctuations.

The Candidate must be experienced in using computer programs including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) as well as Adobe. Any experience using InvestmentMetrics (reporting platform) and OnContact (client relationship database) is valuable.

Requirements:

The Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university with focus in finance, accounting, or math.
