This is a career opportunity to join a growing private mid-sized GC that is heavily involved in secure projects in the Greater DC Metro area. This role reports to our office in Leesburg, Va and will primarily support our secured work division. This is a position open due to growth in our organization.

Job Details

Based in Leesburg, VA - we are a growing GC seeking an experienced Estimator who is comfortable with cost estimates for building renovations, MEP infrastructure upgrades, new build, and civil projects typically valued in the $2M to $25M range.

In this role you will work closely with our operations project team to provide estimating subject matter expertise in developing the scope of work and detailed cost estimates for design-bid-build and design-build projects. The right candidate for the job will be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of construction across all trades, read complex architectural, MEP, plans/specifications, and be able to define and develop bid strategy.

Essential Background

Working knowledge of civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines and the capacity to understand unique project requirements.

Strong analytical skills and the ability to effectively use a variety of estimating, scheduling, and reporting software tools.

The ability to travel to different job sites within a designated geographical area.

Minimum Qualifications

5 years of construction industry experience

3+ years of demonstrated experience estimating self-performed work activities and subcontracted work.

A strong working knowledge of construction means and methods associated with the renovation of commercial and institutional buildings and sites

Due to the nature of our work and client requirements, US Citizenship & proof of Covid Vaccination are required

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in government contracting is preferred

BS. degree in engineering or construction management is preferred
