SUMMARY:

Territory Management sales position with assigned Midwest/Plains geographical territory of Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri, South Dakota, and North Dakota. Position involves management and support of respected local Rep Agency having seven sales reps in this defined market.

Working in conjunction with the National Sales Manager located in Florida, provides sales and customer service support to Adhesives Technology’s Building Supply and Industrial Distribution accounts, end-user contractors, and the design community by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Includes the following: (Other duties may be assigned)

Develop and maintain a call cycle/time and territory management system to support distribution partners with key contacts in all client locations. Develop rapport with those distribution accounts by building a relationship based on trust and added value.

Develop relationships with, train, strategize and support Rep Agency sales team.

Work with contractors to create /drive product demand from contractors using a pull-through strategy for distribution accounts.

Present products and services to Structural/Civil engineers and Architects to generate specifications of Adhesives Technology high-performance products, providing technical support and offering continuing education seminars.

Provide technical support to contractors, distribution, and Manufacturer’s Rep Agency sales staff who will serve as your sales team in the broad market.

Conduct hands-on product training with distribution staff, local engineers and contractors. Must be comfortable with power tools and willing to get dirty as part of daily routine to create product demand.

Daily prospecting for new distribution and contractor business. Uses lists of prospective customers as sales leads, information from reports, trade show leads, business directories, CMD Insight, and other sources to open new accounts.

Continually strives to improve margins by optimizing product and customer mix.

Works as a team in conjunction with sales counterparts in other regions, as well as the Inside Sales Team and National Sales Manager.

Professionally manage customer complaints and issues, delivering a high level of service for customers.

Maintain daily CRM detailing daily efforts.

The ideal candidate will prospect and close sales leads to help generate revenue for the company. They will also be responsible for helping develop, implement, and evaluate the sales strategy together with our Rep Agent in the market

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required

Must be a positive, self-starter, with a hunters’ mentality.

Ability to work effectively, independently without constant supervision while maintaining highly productive results

Must have experience developing and maintaining relationships with sales leads

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ideal candidate will possess at least two of the following three required competencies:

Working knowledge/understanding of concrete as a building material

Understanding of construction adhesives/chemicals such as two-part epoxies, acrylics, urethanes, polyurea, densifiers etc.

Experience with building supply distribution channels in the defined territory.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

College degree with 3-4 or more of years related experience or equivalent combination of education and infrastructure/sales field experience, preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and write English fluently and communicate effectively via phone or e-mail. A clear articulate, confident speaking voice is a must. Ability to effectively present information to all business levels from laborers to top management.

Spanish bilingual is a clear advantage.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions using lateral thought. Ability to interpret and respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and resolve issues based on guidelines previously given by management.

Self-study quickly learning the various aspects of our products in relation to those of our competitors, as well as familiarizing oneself with customers, software and general business practices.

Works to attain sales volume and margin quota every month.

Effectively uses available reporting software to analyze their territory sales to improve product mix and overall sales.

Continues sales and product training with clients to increase sales volume and margins.

Delivers outstanding customer service with a high sense of urgency and professionalism.

Presents a high degree of professionalism to all clients.

To support the territory/region assigned, candidates should live centrally in the specified territory, preferably in one of the following states:

Illinois, Iowa, Missouri.
