The Tampa Bay Times seeks an executive to lead the strategic work of finding, growing, and engaging our readership. Located on Florida's Gulf Coast, the Times is an award-winning news and information company that publishes daily, weekly, and monthly journalism both in print and online. Our Vice President of Audience will play a pivotal role in the technical development of our digital products and marketing to targeted audiences, whose subscriptions are the lifeblood of our journalism.

This assignment will allow you to play a key role in aligning business and newsroom resources to find and secure loyal, paying customers for the Tampa Bay Times. You will lead our IT Product Development team and Consumer Marketing Department, which creates, distributes, markets, and prices the Tampa Bay Times print editions. You will collaborate with our Newsroom and Marketing teams through strategy and influence to build profitable brand loyalty within our Tampa Bay region and beyond, making you an integral part of our team.

Aside from superb business and problem-solving skills, ideal candidates must have a proven track record of leading with unwavering integrity and collaboration. More importantly, they must share our belief that journalism is not just a profession but a vital pillar of a healthy democracy.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business preferred or relative work experience.

A minimum of four years of executive experience in overseeing subscription services, content marketing or related field.

Well established track record of managing teams both directly and indirectly through collaboration.

Experience working with analytical and reporting tools, communicating findings to key stakeholders and broad groups.
