Job Title: Warehouse Compliance, OSHA and Fire Protection (NFPA) Specialist

Overview: We are currently seeking a Warehouse Compliance, OSHA and Fire Protection (NFPA) Specialist to join our team at our New Jersey warehouse office. The ideal candidate will have approximately 7-8 years of experience, a strong background in OSHA compliance, fire protection systems, and warehouse setup. Experience in conducting risk assessments of warehouse setups is highly desirable.

Primary Responsibilities:

• The candidate must possess an OSHA 30 certification and have experience in warehouse operations.

• The candidate must possess an NFPA training record.

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive OSHA compliance programs specific to warehouse operations.

• Conduct regular audits and inspections of the warehouse facility to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.

• Lead the design, installation, and maintenance of fire protection systems in the warehouse, including fire alarms, sprinklers and suppression systems.

• Conduct thorough risk assessments of warehouse setups to identify potential safety hazards and implement appropriate controls.

• Provide training (& materials) to warehouse staff on OSHA regulations, safety procedures, and emergency response protocols.

• Collaborate with warehouse management to develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and improve safety performance.

• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.

• Stay current with changes in OSHA regulations, fire protection standards, and industry best practices.

• Assist in the development and implementation of other compliance programs as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.

• Approximately 7-8 years of experience in warehouse operations and compliance.

• In-depth knowledge of ISO and CTPAT standards.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Able to be on-call duty to address issues at the warehouse
