Medical Coder

Day to Day Expectations/Responsibilities:

Coding all Profee Sleep study (Sleep clinic), Physical therapy, Lab, and Radiology

90 days onsite training then can work remote (Still have to come onsite 2 times per month for meetings, et.)

Must live local in Des Moines, Iowa

1+ years of experience required

Physicians do the initial coding and turn in their charges / Coders review to ensure correct coding and documentation / If correct coder can push through / If changes are needed they would query physician/ If the documentation clearly supports code change and no query needed they can change the DX code

DX, CPT, HCPCS, Modifiers, E/M

No Certification required

Important information for role:

Hours: Monday- Friday Can start at 7, 7:30, or 8

System/s: Alterra, Care Stream, Engenious Med, Amchi, Orchard (All feeds into Centricity)

Contract/Contract-to-Hire: Contract to Hire

Pay Rate: $20-29/hr
