Data Architect

Our client, a specialty insurance company, is in search of a Data Architect. This role will report directly to the Head of Data. It is a permanent opportunity.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into data architecture solutions.

Design and develop data models, schemas, and database structures to support business applications and analytical needs.

Define data standards, best practices, and guidelines for data management and governance.

Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and tools to implement data architecture solutions.

Implement data integration processes to ensure seamless flow of data across systems and platforms.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Master's degree preferred.

Proven experience as a Data Architect or similar role in the insurance industry or financial services sector.

Strong knowledge of data modeling principles and techniques (e.g., ER modeling, dimensional modeling).

Proficiency in database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, and data warehousing platforms.

Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools and data integration techniques.

Familiarity with cloud-based data services and technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Data Management Professional) a plus.
