Our client is seeking a skilled Pentaho ETL Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation of applications that meet the requirements of one or more user areas. This role involves hands-on new development, as well as support, maintenance, and enhancement of existing applications. The Pentaho ETL Developer will collaborate closely with client management to identify and specify complex business requirements and processes. Additionally, the candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the compliance team through dashboard development, involving data extraction from various sources, manipulation, and preparation for Tableau-based data visualization.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement Pentaho ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources into Tableau for dashboard creation.

Collaborate with client management to comprehend complex business requirements and processes, offering effective solutions.

Perform hands-on coding, testing, debugging, and documentation of applications to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Work closely with Tableau developers to understand backend requirements and contribute to seamless integration with Pentaho operations.

Evaluate and recommend alternative solutions, staying abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies.

Provide technical expertise in Pentaho operations, demonstrating proficiency in ETL development and strong SQL skills.

Conduct code reviews and offer constructive feedback to maintain code quality and consistency.

Respond promptly to production issues, troubleshoot, and implement solutions to ensure system stability.

Keep abreast of advancements in Pentaho and related technologies, recommending updates and improvements as needed.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Pentaho ETL Developer with a focus on dashboard development.

Strong proficiency in Pentaho operations, ETL development, and SQL.

Experience working with Tableau and understanding backend data requirements.

Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.

Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
