LHH is seeking a litigation legal assistant with insurance defense and/or general defense litigation experience interested in a full-time, permanent job opportunity with a well-respected, firm in New Orleans, LA? Ideal candidates will have solid experience working with insurance companies and claims adjusters. You will be responsible for drafting, formatting, and proofreading correspondence and legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, etc.; maintaining department records, both physically and electronically; calendaring; coordinating court dates and appearances; scheduling meetings with witnesses and other involved parties; legal research; and other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
5+ years of insurance defense litigation experience
Strong computer proficiency, especially with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Solid organizational and multi-tasking skills with high attention to detail
Great communication and interpersonal skills with a helpful, no-job-too-small mindset
Salary: $60,000-$70,000/yr.
