This position is responsible for the execution and assessment of Manufacturing Excellence and Quality Systems within Carlisle Construction Materials. This position will communicate with the factories to ensure that the Integrated Management System (IMS) is functioning in accordance with ISO 9001 and other ISO management systems by developing strong relationships and influencing plant leadership.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensures compliance and monitors & advises on the performance of the management system and product data and report on performance, measuring against set indicators including customer defects, FPY, Scrap.

Ensures that procedures are properly understood and followed in accordance with the IMS.

Determines need for inspections and testing using statistical methods.

Ensures that Carlisle’s products and services are fit for purpose and meets both external and internal requirements, compared with customer requirements, including legal, environmental, and quality compliance.

Drives to root cause and corrective action via formal PDCA methodology and A3 problem solving tools.

Conducts internal audits.

Reviews plants conformance with norms and ensures periodic review with plant leadership.

Coordinates with Operations and leadership on response to field complaints making use of current or enhanced field complaint system.

Analyzes processing and product parameters to enable production at consistent high-quality levels.

Prepares routine status reports with regards to essential duties.

Develops relationships with stakeholders to understand and assess needs to drive quality performance at the plant and coordinate with other departments.

Education and Experience:

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in related field

At least five years of experience in quality assurance or quality control

Preferred:

Masters degree in Quality Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or related field

Experience in rubber/plastics engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment

Experience in an ISO 9001 Quality Management System environment

Project management experience

Current certification or pursuit of an ASQ certification or equivalent

Working Conditions:

Office environment.

Some visits to factory.

Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Some work/travel outside of normal working hours will be required.

Travel Requirement:

Some travel is required.
