Responsibilities:

Precision Preparation: Ensure tools are meticulously prepared for installation into mold machines, maintaining our commitment to excellence in every detail.

Continuous Improvement: Review tools, strategize optimization, and implement innovative solutions to enhance tool performance.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with Process Technicians and Molding floor personnel, addressing concerns and providing invaluable support for tools in production.

Innovative Solutions: Recommend and incorporate new technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness in mold making processes.

Problem Solving: Troubleshoot mold issues, communicate tooling concerns, and recommend repairs to ensure seamless production operations.

Documentation and Analysis: Document tooling activities, repair histories, and participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to drive continuous improvement.

Support and Maintenance: Perform inspection, preventive maintenance, and repairs on tools, ensuring optimal functionality and longevity.

Versatile Assistance: Provide support to production and CNC departments as needed, showcasing your versatility and adaptability.

Skills/Experience/Education:

Expertise: Journeyman Mold Maker certification with a minimum of 10 years of hands-on mold building and/or repair experience.

Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of tooling and machinery associated with tool/mold building, with experience in basic tool room machinery such as grinder, lathe, and mill.

Technological Aptitude: Proficiency in SolidWorks, Master Cam, CNC programming, with experience in Plano polishing and welding being a plus.

Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications are preferred.

Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, embracing challenges as opportunities for growth and innovation.
