PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The QA/QC Inspector is responsible for assuring compliance to all Quality Control procedures. This person will work closely with field supervisors to support and provide technical assistance in all matters regarding the Quality execution of our work. The QA/QC Inspector reports directly to the Site Manager with a technical reporting relationship to the Regional QC Manager.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
Inspection and oversight of welding operations
Creating and updating weld maps
Assigning weld numbers
Defining NDE requirements per client and company procedures
Maintaining proper inspections criteria
Coordinating NDE
Ensure mechanical process and tasks a followed
Development of final QC package
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE EDUCATION & SKILLS REQUIRED:
Requirements: AWS CWI Certification. Piping fabrication, Structural & process equipment experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
· Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as calculator,
copy machine, and printer.
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is based out of the jobsite/refinery
office.
· The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
