Goodwill TalentBridge is recruiting a Controller in this direct hire position with our client, a national financial services consulting firm. This role oversees overall accounting operations, as well as administration of financial activities and operational efficiency of the firm. This role manages aspects of human resources including recruitment strategy and collaborates with leadership to establish organizational best practices. The ideal candidate will possess great attention to detail, a high level of organization and previous operations management and or accounting management experience. Responsibilities:

Planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions

Financial data management and reporting for accurate accounting of business results

Coordinating and preparing financial statements

Providing leadership with reporting and important information

Manage budget process

Evaluating accounting and internal control systems

Developing and monitoring business performance metrics

Overseeing regulatory reporting

Hiring, training and retention of staff

Oversee payroll and benefit plans

Supervision of technology personnel

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or business-related area of study

5+ Years of experience as a controller or business operations leader within a service or consulting business

Experience supervising administrative personnel

Experience working directly with HR related functions including but not limited to developing and updating job descriptions, recruiting strategy, hiring, onboarding, training, and performance review

Proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience with Quicken and/or QuickBooks preferred

Above average ability in math & experience working with financial statements

Entrepreneurial mindset

Adaptable and team player oriented

Strong attention to detail is needed to be effective in this role

Excellent communication skills

Ability to present information in a professional manner to individuals and small groups
