Our client is located in Houston and is looking to add an IT Content Writer to their team on a 6+ Month contract basis. This is a REMOTE, Part-time position that is paying $32-38/ hour. The role will be working roughly 20 - 25 hours a week and will mainly working on IT based projects.

The IT Content Writer will develop vibrant, fresh, and effective communications content for a variety of media. In this role, the Content Writer will create business messages with the ability to grasp technical complexity and distill it into simple, strategic, and compelling stories. Responsibilities include internal IT communications and marketing with a focus on proactively creating strategic web content that is engaging and builds awareness about the technology products and services

Responsibilities

● 70% focused - Collaborate with a variety of IT teams to develop and maintain proper messaging and consistency for the IT Self-service portals, the Microsoft Information Center, internal employee communications, marketing campaigns, and social media to ensure information is timely, accurate, and meets quality in communications, branding standards, and editorial styles

● 20% focus - Create content that is engaging, accurate, and appropriate for various audiences in the form of business documentation, technical articles, etc. by writing in a variety of styles and formats (e.g., animations, banners, technical articles, news releases, brochures, data sheets, case studies, presentations, etc.) for a range of diverse channels

● 10% focus - Lead proofreading, fact-checking, and editing processes for various mediums

● Interview Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to fully capture technical stories for products and services

● Facilitate interaction between multiple IT groups through use of superior interpersonal skills

Qualifications

● 3-5 years of solid marketing AND technical writing experience is required

● Oil & Gas industry experience

● Strong Microsoft Office skills

● Strong proofreading, fact-checking, and editing skills with experience with approval processes and workflows
