DevOps Engineer

B.Yond provides IP-led products and solutions to operators and enterprises for the fully automated deployment and management of virtualized networks and applications. B.Yond is leveraging data science, machine learning, and automation to create an ‘Infinite Network’ built on mega data centers and edge clouds.

Job Description

B-Yond makes some fundamental decisions about how they build, develop, deploy, and integrate their software. One of their key tenets is being cloud-agnostic. This means they need a good amount of automation to be able to perform tasks across public clouds as well as on-premises environments. They focus on repeatability and elimination of ad-hoc work. As part of the DevOps team, you will be continuously challenged with solving difficult problems. You will be asked to contribute to the improvement of their engineering practices, developing infrastructure as code. Better yet, you will see the impact of your ideas work in a short time in products we build and customers we delight. You will be working as part of a cloud architecture team to develop and migrate applications that will utilize mainly public cloud services.

As an Engineer - DevOps your responsibilities will be to:

Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code

Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and application lifecycle

Deploy, configure, and maintain Linux server and virtual network functions from 4G and 5G core

Be responsible for conducting complex validation and testing on LTE/VoLTE/5G networks in lab/field using proper tools and analyzing the data accordingly.

Develop automation that would allow simplifying the operations of the environment being built and maintained.

Work experience resolving network issues; performing root-cause analysis and monitoring traffic flows to ensure call delivery optimization

Work with software developers and engineers to ensure established automation processes

Scout, try, experiment, and finally integrate technologies that will provide us the edge to build, develop, deploy, and integrate our software in a cloud-agnostic fashion.

Knowledge on MCPTT call flow and able to perform test plan analysis, SW download, sanity testing, and configure devices specific to test plan/feature, device logging with provided tools.

The skills and experience that will help you succeed…

Strong experience in Linux server administration and troubleshooting.

Proficient in VMware / Linux / PowerCLI scripting

Proficient in Ansible automation and troubleshooting

Knowledge of Public and Private Cloud such as VMware, OpenStack, and Kubernetes

Knowledge of application troubleshooting and security

Strong troubleshooting and defect analysis skills and should be able to segregate issues from device and network perspective.

Strong IP and networking experience

Knowledge of 4G and 5G core

Good Knowledge of Protocol Analysis, Packet Capture, Wireshark, NetScout.

Experience on Terraform, Ansible, Git and Jenkins

Exposure to call processing for 4G and 5G core

Experience with a versioning control systems such as GitHub

Knowledge of Push-to-Talk application (preferred).

Strong conversational and written communication skills in English
