Client:

WITS is hiring Junior Backend Developers as consultants / contractors for a leading semiconductor supplier (based in Phoenix, Arizona) to develop a brand-new construction management software to manage the end-to-end construction process for one of the largest semiconductor companies in the world.

Job Title: Junior Backend Developer

Experience: 2 to 4 Years

Location: Fully Onsite in Phoenix, Arizona (No Remote Work)

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of solid software development and relational database fundamentals (including backup, mirroring, disaster recovery, and replication).

• MUST have experience with procedural language (SQL Server T-SQL, PostgreSQL PL/pgSQL, and / or Oracle PL/SQL).

• Must have experience with writing complex SQL statements (ex. Complex join statements).

• Must have experience with writing stored procedures, functions, and triggers.

• Must have experience with tables, views, indexes, keys, and relational data model designs (design, development, implementation, and methodologies).

• Proficiency in ETL processes, including loading Excel or CSV files into databases.

• Basic understanding of Linux is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.

• Establish maintenance, backup, and recovery procedures, along with comprehensive documentation.

• Monitor backup operations across all enterprise databases and execute routine disaster recovery simulations.

• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle: from model design to testing, debugging, deployment, and end-user training.

• Prepare detailed software specifications, including diagrams and charts, to guide company operations.

• Demonstrate strong documentation skills for processes and procedures, including the creation of knowledge base articles.

• Provide maintenance and support for in-house ERP applications, collaborating with the ERP team to optimize database usage and ensure database security.

• Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and conduct testing to ensure data integrity.

• Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot queries, stored procedures, and triggers effectively.

• Contribute to the development of effective policies, procedures, and other relevant documentation.

• Implement and uphold database security measures in alignment with industry best practices and company policies.
