Job Title: Senior Human Resources Associate

Employment Type: Direct Hire Opportunity

Our client is seeking a Senior Human Resources Associate to join their growing team. As a key member of the HR department, you will be responsible for various HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and compliance. This role demands a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and effective communication with employees at all organizational levels.

Essential Role Functions:

Provide comprehensive HR support to assigned facilities.

Assist the Human Resources Director in implementing policies and procedures across multiple sites.

Support front-line HR operations including employee communication, onboarding/offboarding, leave management, workers' compensation, HR data management, and employee relations.

Conduct training sessions for associates at all levels.

Collaborate with recruitment to source and select both internal and external candidates.

Resolve Open Door, diversity, and other values-related issues effectively.

Conduct new hire orientations.

Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies, partnering with Employee Relations and legal.

Provide coaching and recommendations for the development of non-exempt associates and Supervisors.

Assist in conflict resolution and interventions alongside HR leadership.

Manage contractor agency relations with front-line supervisors and internal HR Director.

Deliver, monitor, and coach technical and non-technical training for site Supervisors and non-exempt associates.

Assist in administering employee benefits programs, including health insurance and retirement plans.

Accurately process payroll for all employees in compliance with regulations.

Ensure timely remittance of payroll taxes and other withholdings.

Administer time approvals by managers and functional timekeepers, ensuring compliance.

Handle non-benefit deductions, including garnishment interpretation and disbursement.

Travel may be required.

Work Experience/Requirements:

4+ years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in food manufacturing/production or start-up environments.

4+ years of experience in Payroll administration.

Proficiency in recruitment strategies, employment agency operations, and interviewing techniques.

Strong knowledge of employee relations, diversity, performance management, and employment laws, with the ability to handle confidential information professionally.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, coaching, and counseling abilities.

Proficiency in HRIS systems.

Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish).

Schedule:

Days: Monday to Friday (flexibility required for weekends).

Hours: 8am to 5pm (flexible hours).
