Role:

The Estimator works collaboratively through the company to support the bidding process by our sales department by creating estimates and proposals for all our designs, projects, and services.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare written proposals

· Develop a detailed description of the project elements and services.

· Create estimates from 3D Design and or blueprints

· Calculate exhibit element costs based on materials, supplies, and man-hour/labor

· Develop services costs per project, including shipping, installation, dismantle, drayage, electrical, AV, etc.

· Create change order estimates

· Vendors 'RFPs (request for proposals)

· Communicate with existing and new vendors to obtain materials, elements, and services costs

· Proposal timeline and deadlines

· New materials and vendor research

· Maintain estimate catalog into internal database.

· Recommend the most cost-efficient materials and fabrication methods

· Work directly with the sales team on estimates and proposal requirements

· Create a bill of materials and vendor list for each estimate after the project is sold.

· Manage contribution margins based on expectation rates

· Responsible to maintain the internal estimating schedule for projects.

· Assist with material purchasing

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

· Experience estimating custom design & fabrication projects

· CAD user is a plus.

· Strong computer skills.

· Understands methods of fabrication and man-hours required to build

· Excellent vendor relationships

· Understand blueprints and 3D Design

· Excellent communication and organizational skills

· Advanced skills in blueprint reading.

· Teamwork

· Attention to detail

· Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check
