Mold Setter/ Process Technician

Job Description

Job Title: Mold Setter/Process Technician (Direct Hire)

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Shop Foreman, this position will perform equipment change overs; material change overs, press startups, press operator, etc.

Essential Job Functions:

Responsible for all mold changes done per the production schedule and all emergency mold changes

Responsible for the proper set-up of all die related functions such as watering of the mold, knockout, hot runner set-up, hydraulics, pneumatics etc

Operate and clean various molding machines

Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the Shop Foreman.

Conduct equipment changeovers to accommodate schedule & demands

Stage raw materials at work stations using a forklift

Record production outputs

Perform basic mathematical calculations for set-ups, etc.

Adhere to good housekeeping standards at work stations

Work with teammates and other employees to generate efficiency, quality, and safety improvements

Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of one year of manufacturing with Injection, blow molding, and RIM press equipment experience.

Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions.

Ability to manipulate tools to complete job tasks.

Good attention to detail and problem solving skills
