Description:
The IT Intern helps the IT Support team to create a highly functioning and secure IT system for Kerecis. The Intern learns how to manage IT inventory; deliver functional, turn-key computers to new staff; answer questions from current staff and close out any computers that are returned. This role also learns other IT and administrative skills as time allows.
This temporary, full- or part-time role is located in a Kerecis office and reports to the IT Helpdesk Supervisor.
Essential Functions
Help monitor the IT support inbox – Learn how the company is structured and the objectives and roles of each department. Learn how to address questions and concerns in a professional and efficient manner, and how to refer challenging issues to peers and supervisors for guidance.
Manage IT inventory documentation – Learn the company’s system for labeling and tracking equipment and how to ensure compliance.
Document IT processes – Learn the IT Support department’s procedures and methodologies.
Set up accounts and computers for new staff – Gain an understanding of the company’s procedures for delivering the correct devices and software applications to new hires, including appropriate access to relevant information systems.
Secondary Functions
Improve usability of the IT Help Site – Learn new programming skills and interact with potential users in a variety of departments and geographic locations
Programming HCL Notes – Learn and refine coding / programming skills
Handle miscellaneous tasks as assigned – Learn and practice the art of customer service

Education & Experience
Enrollment in or recent graduation from an associate, bachelor, or graduate program of study at an accredited institution
