Our continued growth has created an opportunity to join our company as Data Integration Developer.

As Data Integration Developer, you will be responsible for development and maintenance of data transfer and all the processes supporting the acquisition of data. As a Data Integration Developer, you will also be responsible for the design and architecture of new Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processes and adherence to standards developed by the data team for all integration processes.

Work location: 800 W Fulton Market, Chicago, IL 60607, and may work remotely up to two days per week

Responsibilities

Manage system integrations within the architecture of the HR/finance system and middleware

Provide support for workday inbound and outbound integration issues, changes to existing integrations, and new integrations

Provide support for incident management and integration monitoring

Perform break/fix support and regression testing and support the inbound/outbound interfaces to the system and middleware to ensure the application meets the needs of the business

Participate in project collaboration meeting with clients, business analysts, and team members in order to analyze and clarify business requirements

Consult with business and technical teams about interface design and maintenance

Collaborate with other architects and technical leads on design decisions to define and design scope for each project

Analyze and translate functional specifications and change requests into technical specifications

Ensure accuracy and integrity of data and applications through analysis, coding, clear documentation, and problem resolution

Ensure integrations function as designed based on functional and technical requirements

Design and develop interfaces and conduct unit and integration tests

Understand and follow data governance, defined integration/development standards and best practices, security and data privacy standards, and internal change management best practices

Build sustainable Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processes, leveraging platforms such as SSIS

Create, maintain, and optimize ETL processes, scripts, stored procedures, functions, and database structures to adapt to changes in needs and requirements

Design and implement technology best practices, guidelines, and repeatable processes

Support and enhance existing ETL environment and develop new, complex ETL processes to support additional design, development, and deployment of the enterprise data warehouse, and data marts

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software or Electronics Engineering, or related technical discipline

Experience:

8 years of experience designing and implementing ETL processes and using ETL tools. Experience must include:

5 years of data warehousing with MS SQL Server

2 years with Microsoft SSIS and SSAS technologies
