Engineering Intern / Co-Operative Student
Description:
Assist the Engineering Division in daily operations and the planning and design of Town projects involving drainage improvements, road improvements, sidewalks and other facilities.
May use AutoCAD and ArcGIS to help develop conceptual drainage and transportation projects.
May perform engineering calculations and analysis to support preparation of design plans and cost estimates.
May work with the Town’s GIS System, and use a GPS unit to collect data and locate facilities in the field.
Will use Word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs.
May assist in the inspection of road paving projects, drainage improvements, sidewalk repairs and construction, and other Town Projects.
Will research plans, maps and permits in Engineering, Building Department and Town Clerks Files.
May interact with the public in the office and outdoors.
