This position will directly support Armavel’s Growth initiatives, including expanding our customer base, increasing our influence at federal agencies, and developing winning partnerships. The Consultant will own opportunity development, help to establish win themes and differentiators, highlight proof points, and drive compelling reasons for proposal evaluators to select us/our teams. Must be local to the DC/Capital Region and willing to regularly attend events within that region.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Build relationships with customers and partners that lead to intimacy with customer problem spaces and mutually beneficial partnerships.

· Drive capture efforts and strategy for specific opportunities, including delving into the customers' needs, pain points, and motivation/business objectives.

· Gain an understanding of Armavel’s strengths, including past performance, and pinpoint federal opportunities that align with these strengths.

· Contribute to proposal development with creative ideas that can galvanize the team towards winning solutions and strategies.

· Have fun! You will be surrounded by colleagues who enjoy having fun while collaborating on tough problems and who feed off each other’s positive energy.

Qualifications:

· Ability to drink from a firehose of information and create a mental model of the important components and their relationship to one another while filtering out the noise.

· Demonstrated ability to author proposal content. This role is not primarily writing-focused but requires the ability to pull story elements together and contribute to a compelling narrative.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to clearly convey understanding of complex topics.

· Minimum of five years of professional experience.

o Minimum of three years in federal government contracting.

o Preferred two years of professional experience supporting a government agency delivering IT solutions or services.
