Warehouse/Storage Yard Attendant

Job Description

We are seeking a determined individual to join our team as a warehouse/storage yard attendant. This candidate would assist in maintaining and controlling warehouse and storage yard inventory, receive shipments, unload and load trucks, pull and pack materials, maintain orderliness and cleanliness of the warehouse and storage yard and perform other daily tasks as needed.

Job Responsibilities Include:

- Receiving, storing and sometimes delivering materials

- Pull and pack job materials

- Pick up materials from vendors and deliver to job sites

- Load or unload materials while it is being received or when being sent out to job sites

- Involves indoor (warehouse/office) and outdoor (job sites/vendor locations/storage yard) working areas

- Ensure that warehouse is kept clean and safety codes are followed

- Use excellent customer service skills; establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, and all members of the general public

- Keep track of in-stock materials and report to manager to re-order

Qualifications:

- Must have valid drivers license

- Be able to work at a rapid pace to get materials pulled and sorted in a timely fashion.

- Organizational skills an attention to detail

- Good physical health is required as this position will involve loading and unloading materials. The work requires lifting, bending or standing f for long periods of time

- Training and certification required to operate a forklift
