Commercial Construction Superintendent

Job Description

Delaware County, PA based General Contractor is seeking a Full Time Construction Superintendent for local projects with the ability to travel to other jobsites in the Mid-Atlantic region if necessary. The ideal candidate will have prior experience of overseeing the day-to-day onsite operations of new construction projects from start to finish. They should be able to determine and address any risk areas in order to maintain the safety of workers. This candidate should have the ability to communicate effectively with subcontractors, project managers and clients.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily operation of construction projects

Ensure safety, compliance and quality regulations are followed

Communicate project progress with clients and project managers through daily and weekly reports

Manage subcontractors and construction site organization

Control construction schedules and create schedule look ahead for review during weekly progress meetings

Track and report all project activities to the appropriate parties

Qualifications

7-10 years of onsite superintendent experience in commercial construction. Self-storage project experience is a plus.

Strong project management and communications skills

Ability to read construction documents

Familiarity with regulatory construction standards

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project

Prior experience with project management software such as Procore is a plus.

OSHA 30 Certification is a plus
