Job Description
We are looking to fill an Air/Sea Export Agent position. The individual best suited for this role is able to quickly master the International Operations side of our business.
An Air/Sea Export Agent provides superior customer service that supports our operations team. You will use multiple resources to monitor, track, and update load statuses. We will look to you to help further establish and uphold our brand as we strive to continue to innovate industry standards and enhance service levels further
Operational Duties Include, But are not Limited to:
Utilize multiple systems to help support daily business operations
Track and trace international shipments from pickup to delivery, providing up to date details in TMS (Transportation Management System)
Provide superior customer service to carriers and clients
Experience booking, tracking, and quoting Air/Sea Export business
Familiar with TSA regulations, AES Filings, Commercial Airlines, and LCL/FCL Carriers
Ability to create MAWB/MBL, HAWB/HBL, and Manifest documents
Experience with commercial invoice, certificate of origin, and other documents required for International trade
Responsible for handling high volume of e-mail and phone calls each day
Communicate and handle email requests effectively with internal and external business partners
Utilize problem solving skills effectively through all avenues of communication
Foster teamwork mentality to support continuous improvement in the organization
Uphold professionalism in the workplace
Research discrepancies and resolve variances in alignment with processes and workflow
Ability to work after-hours and some weekends during on-call rotation week
Validate business partner invoices for accuracy; correspond with key stakeholders to resolve inaccuracies or issues
Complete daily tasks and monitor activities to ensure efficiency throughout the week
Partner with the leadership and operations teams to identify, improve and implement effective process changes
Manage and monitor improvement actions to measure the success of changes and enhancements
Skills and Requirements Needed to Succeed at Focus Logistics (SBA Global):

Knowledge of the International logistics market and industry trends
Experience working in freight forwarding, with emphasis on International trade
Proficient in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Outlook and Excel
Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate well with customers, associates and management in a professional manner
Reliable transportation, excellent attendance, and a flexible schedule
