Tool Pusher

Established, highly reputable oil workover rig company, servicing NE Wyoming and western ND, has an opportunity for you contribute to the strategic development of this organization. Reporting to the director of operations, the tool pusher is responsible for ensuring safe, economical, and efficient performance of the workover rig activities, directing crews, operating power units, and ensuring execution of activities, comply with company standards and regulations.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Conduct safety job walk on job sites on a daily basis (typically in the mornings).

Ensure that unaffiliated parties are never present on any job sites.

Verifying all equipment is in a safe working order (Verifying submission of DVIRs for all equipment on site)

Verifying clear passage to and from wellsite when Rigs are moved (no hanging, lose cables, powerlines)

Promptly report any safety hazard, accident, near-miss accident, and non-conformance.to supervisor.

Manage daily workover operations, monitor the work process, and address any potential problems.

Ensure all required equipment, resources, safety devices present at the rig at all times.

Schedule the crew members’ shifts and ensure crew members are present. and wearing proper safety gear.

Liaise with oil company representatives visiting. inspect oil site regarding contract management/interpretation.

Provide any assistance to the crew members if requested or needed, to ensure the rig’s effective operation.

Ensure that all orders and instructions received verbally or in writing are fully understood and adhered to

Ensure the progress of the activities is in line with the program and report to the client any discrepancy.

Maintain stock level of spare parts and consumables. Requesting equipment whenever needed.

Ensure that all relevant work and safety procedures issued by Company and Operator are adhered to.

Essential Qualifications:

CDL A Driver’s License in procession or the ability to get one, and clean MVR.

Strong Character with Enthusiasm and a Sense of Urgency.

Knowledge of running and testing of the BOP and how to operate the same and the diverter system.

Knowledge and familiarity with the established well control procedures.

Solid work history showing progressive reliability and skills improvement.

Able to work on your feet for 8 Hr. shift and OT as required.

Hearing and speaking to exchange information.

Dexterity of hands to perform the tasks required of the position.

Sight in order to be aware of hazards and dangers found in the nature of the work.

Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull, grasp, and perform repetitive motions.

Lift moderate to heavy objects up to 60 lbs.

Ability to get along with others, take directions, while delegating. Can do attitude, positive, energetic.
