Job Purpose
The Solder Assembler candidate, your primary duties are to solder the PCB (Printed Circuit Board) in accordance to manufacturing instructions. This includes soldering components to PC Boards and performing other electrical related assembly procedures.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
o Perform basic SMT and thru hole hand component soldering per IPC-610 Class 3, J-Std-001
o Operate hand and/or automatic tools safely.
o Lead forming of different types of electronic parts using hand tools and soldering station on PCB (Printed Circuit Board) assembly.
o Work with leaded and lead- free solder
o Basic ability to read PCB assembly drawings and related documents, ECN’s, assembly instructions.
o Utilize electrical and manual tools such as soldering iron, de-soldering equipment, and solder removal tools.
o Basic understanding of PCB assembly processes, component installation sequence of thru hole components
o Maintains department specific records.

· Required Skills/Experience
o High School Diploma or equivalent
o 2+yrs Soldering experience-must have fine pitch and through microscope. (Need to pass Soldering test)
o Soldering multiple components on a circuit board.
o Requires excellent speed and accuracy.
o Familiarity with ovens, hot plates, hot air pencil, etc.
o Soldering Experience per IPC-610 Class3, J-Std-001
o Ability to Read & Interpret Blueprints, Schematics, Traveler/Routers, Bills of Material & Wire Lists
o Able to use a microscope to solder for extended periods.
o Must be able to understand and follow verbal instructions and be detailed oriented.
o Fluent in English (read, write, speak)
o Maintain a clean, safe well-organized workstation through routine housekeeping.
o Available to work overtime and on the weekend when needed.
o Maintain courteous relationships with all parties, both internal & external
