Low Voltage Technician III with Managed Services experience

Job Description

Fast growing Telecommunications company is looking for Low Voltage Technicians. We are looking for candidates with a strong work ethic and experience in working with low voltage systems in a commercial setting. As a Low Voltage Technician, you will primarily work on projects such as cable installation, fiber optic cabling, and CAT5, CAT6 wiring. This role will be reporting to the Project Manager and working onsite with other technicians to complete projects. Projects may include outsourced Managed Services work.

Qualifications:

Must have experience with outsourced Managed Services work.

Must be able to understand, speak, read, and write in the English language.

Be available to work days, nights, and weekend shifts as required.

Ability to travel.

Must have the ability to multi-task.

Demonstrate a strong work ethic and take creative approaches to problem-solving.

Display strong communication skills.

Experience in working with low voltage systems.

Must have normal color vision.

Must be able to stand for long periods of time, climb ladders, bend and stoop down, and have the ability to lift, reach, and pull.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Attend daily site agenda meeting.

Professionally install cable with/without lift multiple locations.

Coordinate with clients and Project Manager to install systems onsite.

Respond to repair tickets/calls within a 24–48-hour time frame.

Read blueprints/floor plans to determine how to best complete each project.

Install security systems, routers, measurement devices, and other low-voltage technology.

Repair Malfunctioning devices or broken wiring.

Be safety conscious.

Install many different types of low-voltage devices per diagrams, instructions, and/or plans.

Test all systems and troubleshoot any issues onsite.

Teach the client how to use the system.

Perform other duties/projects as assigned.
