Embedded Software Engineer

We are an innovative manufacturer of metering systems for commercial and industrial customers.

We are looking for an embedded software engineer to develop software for several product lines. The candidate will have the following responsibilities:

· Design and write code to interface with sensors, measurement systems, and displays as well as other electronic equipment

· Develop battery-powered embedded systems

· Support custom test equipment design and development efforts

The candidate must have the following qualifications:

· BS Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering or similar engineering field

· Experience with embedded software design and development

· Proficiency in programming in C

· Proficiency in testing and debugging embedded software

· Experience with 8/16/32-bit embedded microcontrollers

· Experience interfacing to microcontroller peripherals, such as a UART, SPI, I2C, ADC, etc.

· Experience with software development lifecycle

· Ability to create, support, and maintain all necessary design and development documentation

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to work in a team environment with other embedded hardware and software engineers

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

· Ability to use Microsoft Excel and Word

The ideal candidate would have the following experience:

· C language experience using Microchip MPLAB with PIC24F 16-bit microcontrollers

· C# experience using Visual Studio

· Experience developing code for battery powered systems

· Working knowledge of embedded hardware design

· Hardware and software debugging skills

· Familiarity with using digital multimeters and oscilloscopes

· Ability to understand and modify existing software to troubleshoot, isolate, and resolve issues

· Experience with tools for issue tracking, documentation, static code analysis, and testingCompany Description
