We are a dynamic and fast-paced law firm seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Permanent Personal Injury Paralegal with Medical Experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury cases, particularly in the area of the medical side of these claims. This position will offer the opportunity to engage in substantive legal work, including working directly with attorneys and clients, conducting legal research, preparing legal documents, and managing cases from inception to resolution. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to handle a high volume of cases, manage deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct initial case investigations to determine, in consultation with supervising attorneys, the viability of the personal injury claims.

2. Collect, analyze, and organize medical records and other case-related documents.

3. Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and legal articles to assist attorneys in the preparation of cases.

4. Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and responses.

5. Assist in the preparation of cases for trial, including organizing exhibits, preparing trial binders, and coordinating with expert witnesses.

6. Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, judicial administrative staff, and other relevant parties to coordinate case management.

7. Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

8. Maintain organized case files and manage case document databases effectively.

Qualifications:

1. Associate's degree or higher in Paralegal Studies or a related field.

2. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a personal injury paralegal, preferably with a focus on medical cases.

3. Proficiency in legal research tools and databases.

4. Strong knowledge of the litigation process, including drafting and filing of pleadings, discovery, and trial preparation.

5. Exceptional legal writing skills.

6. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines concurrently.

7. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and other team members.

8. Proficiency in case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

9. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and discretion in dealing with sensitive information.

10. Paralegal certification is preferred but not required.
