Senior Patent Agent

JCW is looking to hire a senior patent agent with a molecular biology background to join our client's growing IP team.

This person will need to be in-person or hybrid in the Bay Area.

Day-to-day you will:

Prepare and prosecute patent applications, working with in-house inventors and external IP counsel.

Manage databases and dockets. Monitor, prepare, file, and maintain databases as they relate to patent documents and patent prosecution (docket deadlines).

Engage in patent/technology analysis and landscaping.

The qualified candidate has:

4+ years of patent preparation and prosecution experience.

Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genomics, or similar discipline required.

Registered to practice before the USPTO.
