Pfau Cochran Vertetis Amala PLLC (PCVA), a dynamic law firm with a team of 30 accomplished attorneys, is seeking a talented and dedicated Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of litigation experience to join our national litigation practice group. The is a full-time position is for our Seattle office.
Our firm continues to expand, and this position will focus on the growing practice of seeking justice for sexual abuse survivors. This position is ideal for a junior attorney anxious to develop litigation and trial skills. We are a smaller firm, so you will be entrusted with more responsibility than your peers at large firms.
As an Associate Attorney at PCVA, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients by handling many aspects of litigation, which may include:
Managing cases from inception to completion
Maintaining strong client relationships
Drafting persuasive motions and confidently presenting arguments in court
Skillfully conducting and defending depositions
Successfully taking cases to trial
Our ideal candidate will have:
A strong interest in complex plaintiffs' personal injury litigation and a passion for advocating on behalf of survivors of childhood sexual abuse
3-5 years of experience in civil litigation (clerking after bar admission will be considered)
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
Exceptional research and writing abilities
A robust work ethic and meticulous attention to detail, including the capacity to multi-task under pressure
A valid license to practice law in California, with experience in Washington or New York being a valuable addition
The compensation structure for this role provides an annual salary range of $145,000 to $185,000, plus a generous bonus program which rewards experience and performance. In 2023, our associates received total compensation ranging between $250,000 and $450,000.
Our bonus structure is comprised of two components. The first, an objective bonus, is triggered when the firm successfully achieves its annual revenue target. The second component is a subjective bonus, allocated at the end of the year, which is designed to recognize individual performance.
