POSITION SUMMARY

The Philadelphia Eagles are looking for a strategic, analytical, and process-driven Social Media Manager to work collaboratively with the Digital, PR, Corporate Sales, Community Relations, and Marketing teams to grow fan engagement and global brand awareness through social media channels. This role focuses on maintaining multiple social channels while engaging with and building a loyal community within our social media platforms to nurture and support the fan journey. This role is responsible for developing and executing social media campaigns, leveraging key metrics to illustrate the efficacy of those campaigns, and supporting the production of engaging and performative content.

The ideal candidate for this role lives and breathes social media and knows how to use it to target new fans, build community, and support developing and deploying optimized content in line with business goals. This candidate will also understand the power of influencer marketing and content creators, partnering with the Marketing team to support business objectives.

This candidate is passionate about social media, knowledgeable about current trends, and has a proven track record of using social channels to increase brand awareness and engagement. They know how to develop engaging social content, deeply understand established and emerging social media channels and can flex between thinking big and diving deep. This candidate has used social media to build brands, create awareness, and strategically generate advocacy. They will have developed successful social media marketing campaigns with quantifiable KPIs and have demonstrated the ability to think big and implement innovative ideas in ways that facilitate social sharing and brand awareness.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

The Social Media Manager will report to the Director of Social Media

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise the Social Media Coordinator and posting strategy across the Philadelphia Eagles ancillary accounts – Cheer, Lincoln Financial Field, Community Relations, etc.

Lead social posting strategy and drive meaningful growth for our brand and our business while partnering with the creative, marketing, PR, CR, and corporate sales teams to distribute relevant, optimized content across all social channels.

Plan the day-to-day social content calendar, featuring relevant content, tracking tentpole events, seasonal moments, and holidays.

Schedule and push content live seven days a week across all social media platforms including Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, Snapchat, Reddit, and LinkedIn.

Oversee copywriting on social channels, optimizing for channel, audience, and time and understanding the important of brand voice and tone.

Build and maintain all social media communities and become an advocate for the company in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate. Monitor, listen, and respond to users daily.

Roll out targeted social campaigns that align with business goals, brand building, community growth, and other brand milestones.

Leverage expertise in social media trends, best practices, and the Philadelphia Eagles to grow our community, optimize channel performance, and improve engagement across all organic social channels.

Identify trends and regularly communicate insights, key learnings, and recommendations utilizing our analytics platform, Emplifi. Analyze campaigns and translate anecdotal / qualitative data into action.

Tag content within Emplifi, to properly track content related to organizational priorities, sponsorship obligations, tentpole events, etc.

Own UGC (user-generated content) initiatives and campaigns from start to finish with an overall goal to create more submissions and generate UGC.

Support the execution of social contests, sweepstakes, and giveaways leveraging all channels with a goal of engagement and growth.

Stay informed on the constantly changing landscape of social media, spotting industry and cultural trends, best practices and emerging technology and risk.

Support Marketing and Corporate Activations with events and collaborations through social promotion.

Assist with paid social campaigns and tracking corporate deliverables.

QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years working in a social media/community management role for a major brand or agency

Deep understanding of social media platforms such as Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, Snapchat, TikTok, YouTube etc.

A strong understanding of the capabilities of social media and its ability to connect with a wide range of audiences.

Strong copywriting skills and understanding of the importance of social copy to channel engagement

Analytical approach to social channels understanding the importance of balancing brand-building with conversion and customer insights

Advanced platform experience with Emplifi, Social Studio, Dash Hudson, Google Analytics, GRIN, FOHR or similar platforms/tools

Team player and collaborator who maintains composure in high pressure and fast-paced situations

An inherent knowledge of content that resonates across the social landscape

High attention to detail with proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines efficiently

Very strong presentation and communication skills

Process driven with an eye for detail

Experience using Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
