As a Creative Principle, you’ll be the primary Senior Art Director/ACD in one of the two office locations in Leeds or Dublin. You will set the creative direction for a team that delivers campaigns for four of our master brands; Sky Betting & Gaming, Paddy Power, Betfair and DIBZ. You’ll be the on the ground person driving the creative outputs forward, continuously handling relationships and resource across multiple partners. Working as part of the overall all Flutter Creative, Art & Copy Creative team.

Role Overview

We're looking for a Senior Creative Manager to join our Flutter Creative team. Within the role, you'll get the chance to collaborate internally and with external suppliers, being part of a team that works on the creation of boundary-pushing advertising campaigns across events like The World Cup, Cheltenham, and Premier League, to name a few.

Introducing Flutter Creative

The Flutter Creative department provides marketing communications to the Sportsbook, Gaming, Retail and Brand Campaign marketing teams for Sky Bet, Sky Gaming, Paddy Power (Online & Retail), Betfair UKI and Flutter brands.

The team has 6 creative specialist areas of 01 Campaign Management (SBG); 02 Creative Services; 03 Art Copy & Creative; 04 Digital Creative; 05 Graphics Creative; and 06 Film & Motion Creative based across the Dublin, Hammersmith and Leeds offices. Together, these teams are responsible for creating and publishing online, press, social, retail and broadcast (TV & Radio) advertising assets across multiple UK&I marketing placements and product verticals. It is a creative and fast-paced environment which plays an integral part in the division's ongoing performance.

About the Creative (Art & Copy) team

The Creative team are responsible for advertising ideas, rationales and the creation of lead or master assets for large and medium marketing projects for all our UK & Ireland brands. The team works very closely with the internal campaign, services, brand, marketing and commercial teams; and external lead partner advertising agencies. They help deliver the outstanding and sector defining campaigns. The roles available within the team are traditionally known as Art Directors, finished Artworkers and Copywriters in advertising agency terminology.

What will you do

As a Senior Creative Manager, you’ll be a primary Creative contact in one of the two office locations in Leeds or Dublin. You will lead your team that delivers campaigns for three of our brands; Sky Bet, Sky Gaming, Paddy Power and Betfair. You’ll be the on the ground person driving the creative outputs forward, continuously handling relationships and resource across multiple partners. Working as part of the overall all Flutter Creative, Creative team.

In this position, you will work as a people manager of a team and work across several projects at once. Lead, mentor and help train your team with their individual development plans. You will have specialised in one of three possible creative team areas, Art direction, Design or Copywriting.

You are one of the senior creative points of contact for a number of marketing campaign functions among marketing and commercial partners in one location - up to and including Head of Dept level. Be consulted on large/medium advertising plans, working with three divisional brand teams to help allocate creative resource.

Accountable for the creative ideation and execution of large and medium creative marketing campaigns for at least three brands; Paddy Power, Betfair, Sky Bet and Sky Gaming. Ensuring your teams assigned briefs are delivered on time, and to the agreed creative scope.

Reporting into the Head of Creative, and part of the Creative Leadership Team. You will be an influential across the internal teams, encouraging all members to explore new creative art/copy ideas and approaches. Help formulating new ways to keep the entire team engaged, focused and happy, using feedback from regular face to face meetings.

You will encourage your team to explore new tools and ways of working. Work closely with the external creative agencies and production houses as required by the brand teams to support and fulfil all creative assets across TV, Radio, master imagery and on-brand advertising/marketing copy.

The role will develop your team to create creative marketing campaigns, taking a process driven approach to each brief, and help ensure its successful delivery. You will provide direction and feedback to your team with answers that aligns to the uniqueness of each creative brief. You will be considered a brand guardian leader for three of the divisions brands and its products.

As part of the Flutter Creative LT team you will be responsible for seeking out marketing alignments and 3rd party supplier cost savings as part of the divisions goal to reduce costs. Along with the other Senior Managers you will plan for alignment across all production agencies and freelance individuals with in the Flutter UKI division.

You will also maintain a close relationship with your aligned brand teams. Making sure your teams creative is shared and presented at key stages, while communicating progression and feedback to internal and external creative teams. Continually suggest new freelance art directors and copywriters. You are proficient on current gambling advertising regulations and will flag ideas that are possible breaches.

You will work closely with the other Flutter Creative team managers and help lead and resolve resourcing issues, balancing client expectations and delivery deadlines. With the added responsibility to help train the brand marketing executives/managers on the internal creative process.

How will you do it

This is an active office social role, where you collaborate with internal marketing, brand, creative teams and external agencies/production houses. You’ll get to exercise your experience in creative ideas and internal/external team management, whilst help find solutions to all types of creative challenges. The most important thing, is that you work well under pressure, and have a measured approach to creation of marketing campaigns. You have all of the below;

You have previously worked in an creative managers role, with years of experience and knowledge of the creative advertising process within a studio environment and it’s full range of fields and authorities. You know how to operate small effective creative team and can motivate your team to work at pace, and deadlines at the forefront of their thinking.

Your expertise in creative management, relationship building and dispute resolving is what your reputation is built on in this role. You are approachable to almost all levels of the business and identify issues then resolve them professionally and at pace.

You can seek out improvement activities that will positively impact on the creative process between customers, and internal/external creative teams.

Brilliant written and verbal communication, a confident presenter. Training your team comes naturally and have a mature and motivated attitude. You are open minded and possess an ability to work well with people at all levels of the business, along with external agencies and individuals.

The role does require travelling between your teams office locations, and on occasion, you may be called out of regular office hours to deal with creative opportunities e.g. reactive press ideation and resourcing. You will also be required to attend TV/Photoshoots etc on location when necessary.

Education / Experience / Software

You have completed a degree or certificate program in one or more of the following fields: Visual Communication, Advertising... or significant industry or agency experience (8+ years). A CV that demonstrates your experience and portfolio that showcases your talent. Excellent knowledge of Mac OS and the following software (creative area depend)::
