Presently, we are seeking a Youth Services Librarian to further our goal of delivering valuable outreach initiatives and educational experiences for the youth within our community.

This librarian will provide a broad range of professional librarian services in support of reader's advisory, reference, outreach, and programs for children, teens, and their caregivers.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree; AND two (2) years of library operations experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Valid Driver's License

Must have completed nine credit hours of library science courses OR commit to completing them within three years of start date in this position. Completion of this coursework will allow the person obtaining this position to achieve the required Librarian Certification Level 5 within three years of start date in this position. After requirements are met, must earn 50 LEU (Library Education Units) within five years.

Compensation & Benefits

Starting pay is $40,223 per year and up based on related and comparable experience
